Tired of your regular green beans cooked in the microwave just in time for dinner to have the family complain about how boring they are? Try this tip to freshen up this side dish.

1 Pound bag of green beans or 1 pound fresh green beans with ends removed

1 tablespoon of butter

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of Bff Kitchen Divinely Dippin’ Seasoning

1 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes drained

Heat a large frying pan w/ lid or use a pot if you do not have a large frying pan with a lid. On low/medium heat, melt the butter, add the green beans, tomatoes, lemon juice, and Divinely Dippin’ Seasonings. Heat till green beans are still slightly crisp but heated through about 7-10 minutes.  I use tongs to toss the green beans while they ae cooking to avoid beans getting mushy. If you like softer green beans, cook longer until desired tenderness.

Note: If I am serving these at a more formal dinner , I jazz them up and kick up the wow factor by garnishing with toasted walnuts and freshly grated parmesan cheese.  You can use white wine or chicken broth to replace the lemon juice.
